What is FOCCUS?
FOCCUS is a self-diagnostic inventory designed to help couples learn more about themselves and their unique relationship. FOCCUS provides individualized feedback and a trained Facilitator helps the couple to work through issues before Marriage. It is not a test nor is it meant as a predictor of success or failure in a relationship.

ACCORD COUNSELLING SERVICE
The Counselling service is offered to all couples and individuals, in a couple relationship.
Some questions you may ask:-
How do I make an appointment?
Call the Centre to make an appointment. 1850 58 5000 or 6824297 (making that call is the most difficult part of counselling)
You will be asked for the following details:
- Name and address
- Contact numbers
- What times suits best for appointments.
When the Centre contact the client
You will be contacted when a suitable appointment is available.
This call will be followed up by a letter stating, where the session’s takes place, the appointment time, the counsellor’s name
The counsellor receives a copy of this letter
How much will Counselling cost you?
Accord requests clients to make a contribution for each session in proportion to their income. We suggest €10 per €10,000 per annum of income, with a minimum of €20. However, if finances are low at present, you can discuss the matter with your counsellor.
What happens when we arrive to counselling?
You will be met by the counsellor
Sessions will last 55 minutes.
Sessions will be at the same time every week. (6 to 8 weeks duration)
The cost per session will be agreed on the first meeting.
Counsellors Role
Accord counsellors support people who are experiencing difficulties in their relationships.
Accord offers a safe, professional and confidential process facilitating couples and individuals to explore, reflect upon and resolve difficulties in their marriage/relationship.

Supervision & Training
All our counsellors receive ongoing professional supervision and continuous specialist training in relationship counselling. This ensures the service you receive is of the highest quality.
Is the service confidential?
Accord maintains the highest standard of privacy & confidentially at all times. Accord will not divulge any aspect of the counselling process, even at the client’s request. Confidentially will be broken only, to protect a child or adult, from abuse or danger.
