ATLANTIC AIRVENTURE - Multi Media and Flight Simulation Learning Centre for Adults and Children

Atlantic AirVenture is a new exciting facility located only a few minutes from Shannon Airport. The centre is a unique place for adults and kids to learn about the world of flight in a pure aviation environment.

The centre includes a multimedia learning centre complete with a full size Rolls Royce jet engine. A state of the art Flight Simulation centre houses 8 dual seat flight simulators, a British Aerospace 146 regional jet simulator and the most recent arrival is a Boeing 737-800 NG simulator. This is built from the nose of a real aircraft and is the only one accessable to the general public in Ireland

Groups from Secondary and Primary schools have attended for field trips, Scout groups from Clare and Limerick have earned their AirActivities badges and the centre is also available for family occasions, like birthdays and other special occasions for some flight fun!

Groups of 16 can fly together, with 8 individula aircraft competing in Navigation of Landing challenges . . perfect for any age.#

Atlantic AirVenture is running its second season of summer camps for budding aviators, the camps run June July and Aug, with selected dates for groups aged 6-8, 8-12 and 13+

Each session is designed to introduce kids to the basic concepts and theories of flight , with hands on - minds on practical activities including making models and daily flight simulator experience.

Older ACEs will receive careers talks from Airline Pilots , Aeronautical Engineers and Air Traffic Controllers and get to see the B737 in action.
