The eco farm’s aim is to empower people to learn about Renewable Energy and Eco topics, to understand and feel at ease with the topic itself as well as to be able to build some Renewable Energy solutions with their own hands. imecofarm is a centre for families to visit, enjoy our children activities and relax while walking our farm, forest and river trails. Throughout the centre Working Displays of different types of Renewable Energy can be found and children and adults can learn about the topic by having fun. A calendar of weekend courses covering all topics within the Renewable Energy sector for Beginners as well as Hands-on workshops is available for Everyone to join into. Special events take place throughout the year to demonstrate Renewable Energy solutions and encourage families and individuals to convert to these by buying or building their own. At imecofarm we enjoy teaching and taking on any questions on our favourite topic (the trickier the better!). As a result we have setup our monthly Eco Forum, a Renewable Energy Talk focusing on one particular topic and inviting Guest Speakers as well as the general public to discuss, query and enjoy the topic of the evening. We also have a column with the ClareChampion on Renewable Energy and Eco Questions that answers questions in a factual manner. We look forward to grow, offer and be a part of many more local and national eco activities, talks and courses.
