Our online magazine was officially launched on Friday June 11th 2010. A website where Irish parents can find help, advice and support. Your baby or child might not come with a manual, but you sure have one now.

Parenthood.ie is a site for parents by parents, and will regularly publish new articles covering all your parenting needs from the first stages of conception, pregnancy, babyhood to toddlerhood. Sign up for our free membership, get access to our forum and future competitions. Create your own blog and advertise your outgrown baby items.

Few parents have the time to find practical answers, and as a parent you often feel increasingly frustrated and too worn out to try out new things. Parenthood.ie's goal is to funnel parenting advice available to quick and straightforward articles and guides.

We want to share information that could help when things seem impossible and all your best intentions go out the window. We hope that parents will find hands on and realistic solutions for any family or parental issues they might have, says Barbara Finucane Editor and one of the creators of the website.

You will be able to find indoor and outdoor activities for children of all ages, family friendly recipes, ideas for family finances, and more. Advice and help other, or get help yourself in our forum. For professional advice, a different expert will answer members questions each month. All things relevant for families and parents in Ireland.

About us

The idea of Parenthood.ie slowly grew after editor Barbara Finucane gave birth to her twin girls and had her life turned upside down.

Barbara soon realised that good, relevant advice was hard to get without reading thick parenting books.

Books often have only one solution to any parenting problem.

Professional advice was easy to find, but how to make it work in real life and on Irish terms was another issue.

 

Parenthood.ie's objective is to be a web portal for Irish families and parents, also to be a resource where parents can find help and advice for all parental needs.

Parenthood.ie hopes to give you several solutions for one problem, and let you as a parent choose which best suits you and your family.

we want to convey a positive and fun attitude towards parenting and family life,

while facilitating the day-to-day parenting issues for families.
