New Horizons™ Retirement Programme

This is a holistic approach to Retirement Planning to assist the employee develop prudent and life enhancing plans. It will help Individuals to develop options, make plans and take actions towards a successful and enriching Retirement Life. The programme will also assist Individuals to take accountability for their future and define Retirement ideals for each participant. Career Decisions Retirement Programme will also challenge/reality test retirement expectations of each participant and assist individuals to understand the challenges associated with loosing their corporate sense of identity, their work family/friends, money and status and transition from working 40 hours per week to a successful retirement.

Programme Outline

Stage 1: Online Assessment LifeOptions© Profile Assessment

An online assessment (15 minutes) is to be completed in advance of the workshop by each participant.

The LifeOptions© Profile assessment instrument covers 7 ‘life arenas’ and 24 factors.  Each participant will receive a 10 page Personal Report giving short descriptions of their attitude to each of 20 separate lifestyle and attitudinal factors arranged into 7 life arenas.

Stage 2:  1 Day Retirement Workshop

Adjusting the Clock; Exploration of 7 ‘life arenas’ and a Financial Information Session – Social Welfare, Pensions, Taxation, Early Retirement, Money Management, Investments & Savings, Starting in Business, Case Study.

Stage 3:  Individual Retirement Coaching Session - Retirement Plan

Each participant completes a Retirement Plan from information provided in LifeOpitons© Report and Exercises on the 7 Life Arenas.   The production of a Retirement Plan has proven to be remarkably powerful in helping people to make the right decisions at a critical time and achieve their short and long term retirement goals.
