Shamrock Club of New Dublin invites you to help us “Paint the Town Green”

As the twin town to Killaloe in County Clare, we'd like to offer our schedule of events for St. Patrick's Day.

Yes, it’s that time of the year again and the Shamrock Club of New Dublin is busy at work readying for the most enjoyable day of the year in New London, Wisconsin, the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Festival. In fact, we’re planning another fun week of St. Patrick’s Day “shenanigans” for our fine city.

New Dublin is annually honored by AOL online along with New York, Atlanta, and Boston as being one of the top 10 places in the United States to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Not bad for a city of 6,200 residents. We've also been honored by National Geographic and the Smithsonian as one of the top five places to celebrate St. Pat's!

This year’s theme is “Paint the Town Green” and we’re inviting everyone to get creative and participate in this year’s many events. We’re doing something a little different this year in asking the downtown businesses to get in the spirit of our theme and do a little “painting of town green” on their own with a Window Decorating Contest. This is an exciting new aspect of our week-long event, and sure to be a very fun, creative and beautiful addition.

We are also very pleased to announce this years Irish Man and Irish Rose, Mr. Warren and Mrs. Irene Lowney. This year’s Parade Grand Marshall is Mr. Robert Polaski, along with Parade Judges Tim and David Trauger.

So come on out to New Dublin- New London Wisconsin, and “Paint the Town Green” and help us celebrate St. Patrick's Day week. Grand Parade and Irish Festival is March 20!
