The next guided spirituality walk in the Burren takes place at 9.45 am on Sunday 10th of October and is entitled Even Then Nearly Deserted.
DescriptionA homage to our ancestors whose intimacy with planet earth helped them to commune with “the other world” and grapple with the twin mysteries of life and death.Poetry, reflection, silence and humour.Commentaries on the festival of Lughnasa; the folklore of native trees; Early Christian Ireland; medieval pilgrimage; the demise of the holy wellRetracing the footsteps of pilgrims and penitents. A walk out of the ordinary!Duration2.5 hours.COST €20 per person. Please book in advance. Numbers limited.PLEASE BRING Suncream and waterproofs for the Irish weather. Sturdy walking shoes. All of the ground is sacred but some of it is uneven!Walking sticks provided.
