Their 20 acres of Organic Heritage Orchards, Seed Gardens, and Woodlands are open 7 days a week to visitors but the annual open day gives visitors a chance to taste the heritage apples and see more of what happens at this environmental charity where they grow, conserve and save the seed of over 600 heritage varieties of vegetables, apples, potatoes and grains.
The interest in “growing you own” has never been greater and Irish Seed Savers, through its subscription based supporter scheme helps people to grow delicious, nutritious varieties of vegetables and potatoes, fruit and grains many of which are not available anywhere else.
