ˇ Encaustic Art – Demo night on the 20th Oct. This demo night starts at 8.30 and explains all about Encaustic Art. This is an ideal demo to come along to if you enjoy Card making. Its costs €3 to get in as this is just to cover the tutors materials. Encaustic art is where you use special wax on wax paper to create amazing pictures. Need to book as places are limited.
ˇ Make up class with Ken Boylan one of Ireland’s most esteemed Freelance Make up artists. This is a one day workshop with Ken Boylan. With contributes to leading fashion publications and is a frequent contributor on television on TV3’s Xpose and Ireland AM. He has also worked with a host of celebrities and shows. Ken has also been a guest on RTE’s “Off the Rails” since its inception eight years ago. With a hands on down to earth approach to make up, Ken’s philosophy is that of budget, from luxury cosmetic lines to supermarket brands. At this one day workshop you will be asked to bring along your full range of make ups that you currently use and you will be taught from the beginning. Stripped back and he will teach you how to apply your make up and what best suits you. On the day there will be a vast range of cosmetics for sale for all budgets. We think this is a must have day for all ladies and will in the long run save you money from making mistakes. Class takes place on Sunday 16th October from 10am to 5. 1 day class. Cost €170. ˇ Knitting, Crochet, embroidery and cross stitch. An on - going night class starting on the 18th October. Cost €70 for 6 weeks. Class by well known Josephine Helly. (You may have seen her on ICA Bootcamp).Won’t include materials. For adults and teenagers. Suitable for beginners and advanced. Great class to learn how to read a pattern. 7 – 8.15. Booked out but can book in for second round.
ˇ Sewing Night class – Sewing classes with the well known Josephine Helly. Starting on the 18th October. From 8.45 to 10. Need to have your own machine. Will start at basics and move right through to following a pattern. Will make bags, table runners, baby gifts, Christmas decorations and much more. Class is ongoing but will be paid each 6 weeks. Cost €70. Booked out.

ˇ Ceramics – Night classes for adults starting on the 7th September and lasting 6 weeks. Starts at 7 and finishes at 9. Will be learning pottery techniques such as hand building in clay, Pinch pots, coiling and slab building. Costs €140. All materials supplied. Teenagers also welcome. Ongoing.

ˇ Dancing the Rainbow – 12 week class starting on the 16th of September. Starts at 7 and finishes at 9. Helps to develop creativity using different mediums. DTR (Dancing the Rainbow) is cutting edge movement and meditation that helps achieve greater self awareness, develop natural creativity and provide natural opportunities for healing. It uses a variety of methods including movement, mindfulness mediation, colour, art and voice. Over 12 weeks different artistic mediums are explored such as painting, drawing, writing and collage. The aim is not to be skilful but to find the tools for greater self expression. Early booking is recommended as only 8 people to class. Class with Gwen Mc Hale. Cost €220. For adults only. Ongoing.
ˇ Morning class in Painting from the Heart with Clodagh Kelly – 7 week class starting on the 6th September and starts at 10.30am and finishes at 12.30pm. Painting from the Heart – a relaxation/meditation to begin with and we may take angel cards then in silence we start to paint, with gentle music on in the background, we use the paint. At the end of the class students are paired off and each person gets to talk about what their image means to them. Everyone will have the chance to speak about their work in a safe non judgemental environment. This class teaches Art as a relaxation. All materials supplied. Cost €100. Ongoing.
ˇ 1 day Hen making workshop with Krystyna Pomeroy – In February 2012. Date to be decided but will be a Sunday. From 10.30 to 4. A day of cutting, construction, tearing and pasting…. Learning the skills and techniques of grown up papier mache. Paper sculptor Krystyna Pomeroy guides you through the stages of making a professional looking hen to take away with you, either covered in patterned paper, or to be painted. Cost €75.
ˇ 1 day Making Stars for Christmas with Krystyna Pomeroy – on the 6th November from 10.30 to 4. A day where you can come and make spectacular 3D papier mache stars for impressive Christmas Décor, as well as smaller stars for garlands or for the tree. You can take them home either white, to paint as you wish or use decorated papers and trimmings for a surface finish. Krystyna has exhibited in Ireland and the UK and the most recent one being the “Crafted Creatures” at the Ark, Temple Bar in 2011. Cost €75. 3 places left.
ˇ Millinery - Sculptured Fan Sinamay. This is a beautiful follow on class which teaches the students how to make Fans from Sinamay. This is a great technique that can be used in designs and can enable the student to be very creative and artistic with their designs. A beautiful follow on class for beginners. On the 18th Nov. Starts at 9am and finishes at 4. Cost €110.
ˇ An Introduction to Millinery – Sinamay Saturday. Taking place on the 19th November. One day workshop with Lina Stein. Starts at 10 and finishes at 5. Take a day out of your hectic schedule and put those idle fingers to some use. Get creative and learn to make a beautiful headpiece, using Sinamay, Feathers, Veiling, Flowers or Beads. Have fun creating your very own hat, bonnet or chapeau and learn about the classic art of Millinery design / Technique with renowned Westport based Milliner – Lina Stein. She will demonstrate some basic techniques of making trimmings using Sinamay and then you can let your imagination run wild. You will learn how to make various design features such as swirls, curls, fans and dishes and then finally you will embellish your hat with Crinoline, Beads, feathers or if you like just keep things simple. All pieces are finished with elastic, band or comb and then lined to a professional standard. Cost €110 each day. This includes most of your materials but each student will receive a list of materials that they will need to bring along. Booked out.
ˇ Millinery - Sinamay and Crinoline – Follow on for beginners - If you have ever wanted to make a frivolous dazzling headpiece, cover it in light fabrics and trim with Crinoline and feathers then this is for you. Get creative and learn to make a beautiful headpiece, using the versatile Crinoline and fabric of your choice. Learn about the classic art of Millinery design and technique with renowned Westport based Milliner Lina Stein. She will demonstrate some basic techniques and then you can let your imagination run wild. Focus will be on creating a base and covering it in a fabric of your choice, and then following traditional Millinery techniques, you shall trim the hat using the amazingly versatile “Crinoline”. Swirl it into flowers, ruffle it up, or simply create a brim. You will discover its many creative properties that offer you infinite possibilities for making your hat wonderful. Starts at 10 and finishes at 5. Cost €110. This includes most of your materials but each student will receive a list of materials that they need to bring along. Booked out.

ˇ Vintage Heirloom Bridal Bouquet workshop – On the 4th Dec from 10 am to 3. Do you wish to Design or Create your own wedding Bouquet? Do you want a memorable piece of art that can be passed down through generations? This is a beautiful class that teaches the students how to make their own vintage bridal bouquet from jewellery. This class is with well known Kay’s school of Floristry who are coming down from Dublin to teach with us here at Ennis Creative Arts Centre. Cost €350. A piece that you can keep forever!
ˇ Christmas workshop with Kay’s School of Floristry – Kay’s school of floristry are coming down from Dublin to teach here at Ennis Creative Arts Centre. This workshop is a one day workshop where you will create two Christmas designs that you can bring home with you. There are also many demos during the day. Also advice on sourcing and assembling. Taking place on the 3rd Dec. Cost €150.
ˇ Adult’s one day workshop in Cup Cake design. We are delighted to announce the launch of our first cup cake workshop for adults. Taking place on the 13th Nov from 1 to 4. All cupcakes are prebaked but you will learn how to decorate 12 of your very own Cupcakes and then bring them home in a supplied box and then enjoy them with your family. Check out the pictures on facebook of some of the creations by The Galway CupCakery who will be giving the class. Class costs €75. All materials supplied. Just bring your apron! Booked out.
ˇ Children’s one day workshop in Cup Cake Design. We are delighted to announce the launch of our first cup cake workshop for children. Taking place on the 27th Nov from 1 to 3. Each child will be supplied with 12 cup cakes that are prebaked and then they will learn how to design 12 of their very own cupcakes and will be given a box to bring them home for everyone to admire and EAT!. Class costs €50 and places are limited. 2 places available.
ˇ Christmas Wishes – Advent Calendar or Christmas decorations. Would you like to make your own Advent Calendar or Christmas decorations? You don’t need to be great at sewing for this class. There will be a small amount on the machine but we will help you. You can also hand sew these. Check out the Facebook page for pictures of these. They are enchanting! You can use the decorations as Christmas presents! Class takes place on the 30th October from 10am to 5. Costs €55.
ˇ Christmas Crackers – Make your own 12 Christmas Crackers – All you need to bring along is 12 small prezzies and learn how to make the crackers for your presents. All materials are supplied. Cost €25. Takes place on the 12th Nov from 10am to 5.
ˇ Interior design with Shirley Bredin – One day workshop coming up in October / November. A one day class taking place on a Sunday where students can bring along pictures or plans of their home and basically ask all the questions that they have and get them finalised. Will have a full selection of samples there for students to pick from. Including wallpaper, paints, carpets samples etc. Students are welcome to bring along all their own samples that they have also. We can have guest speakers there also helping with Tiling, fireplaces, kitchens, painting, etc. Need to see what each students requires before we arrange. If there is something that you need covered well we will cover it. Ideal for the person who is building, renovating or thinking of extending their home. Full day costs €150 and is a great investment for anyone interested in interior design. No dates decided on just yet but taking names and bookings.
