Ennistymon Farmers Market
Ennistymon’s reputation as a market town is set to be further enhanced by a weekly Farmers' Market at the West Clare Art Gallery on the Ennis Road, every Saturday, 10am-2pm, from 5th June.
More than 20 local farmers, growers and producers will sell a wide variety of produce including free range pork, Aberdeen Angus beef, farmhouse cheese and fresh locally caught fish like pollack and mackerel, lobster and crab. They will also supply a range of seasonal vegetables and fruit, herbs, salad bags, plants and fresh flowers along with free range hen and duck eggs.
Homemade summer jams, chutneys, relishes as well as Italian flavour pasta and sauces will also be available. Tea and coffee lovers will be delighted with the selection of organic freshly ground or whole coffee beans, organic fair trade coffee and tea and locally produced herbal teas.
Those with a sweet tooth will be spoiled for choice with the array of biscuits, buns, scones, pastries, cakes, quick breads, pies and tarts whilst those with special dietary requirements will have a variety of glutenfree, dairyfree and sugarfree products to choose from.
Local craft producers will be in regular attendance too offering cards, jewellery and hand made gift boxes, home made herbal creams, ointments and bath oils while local artists will showcase their work on a regular basis.
The market will have a mix of both outdoor and indoor stalls as well as adequate parking. Shoppers will also be able to relax in the Market’s own café which will offer a range of refreshments including tea, coffee, soups, salads, wraps, etc.
